A year ago, I attended a winter style session and met Tracy of Whipped Cakes and Confections. She had made the entire dessert table and wedding cake...seriously it was stunning and really amazing ( yeah we got to eat it all after the event). It really did take my breath away. For me it was my first time up close and personal with actually working with some of the best vendors in our area and even getting to photograph their work.
Since then, Tracy and I have become friends. I swear we chat daily and she is constantly cracking me up. She also is the designer behind my website and brand. She spent countless hours with me going through revisions till we got it just right, and when I wanted to change it up randomly just two weeks ago on a whim, I told her my vision and she nailed it on the first try. She put just as my love into it as if it were her own.
Reason 5 million why I love her. She is not only this way with her family and friends, but she is just the same with her clients. She spends time getting to know you and your vision for your wedding. Her cakes are always unique and some of the most stunning cakes I have ever seen. She takes a ton of pride in her work and it really shows in everything she does.
This summer on a really beautiful Saturday ( you know the one where we were supposed to have a hurricane come up the bay...the one that didn't happen) afternoon, I got to accompany her to the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club to help her deliver a wedding cake. She had asked if I would would take a few photos of her setting it up for her website ( and also because again, that hurricane was coming and really who wants to drive over the Bay Bridge alone in 100mph winds). I was totally onboard. See, I always get to arrive at the venue once everything is all set up and pretty. It was really cool to be walking in and seeing everything being put together. Talk about gorgeous. Simply stunning. I was in awe of all the work the vendors were doing. Breathtaking!!
