This was a dream session and bucket list session. I had been itching to shoot at the Lincoln Memorial for a long time, so when Sarah reached out to me to shoot her an Ryan's Engagement Session in DC, I totally knew where we were going. I know Sarah through work, she is one of my team mates on one of my programs and we became fast friends 2 years ago. I was so excited when they got engaged and secretly hoped I would get to shoot these for her. We met up on a chilly morning a little before sunrise. If you have never seen the sunrise over DC, I highly suggest it. It is simply breathtaking. The sun just glows and the monuments look magical. It wasn't as crowded as we thought. We started at the Reflecting Pool and then headed up to the Lincoln..( ok, we got lucky to shoot physically on the Memorial...you are not technically supposed to go past the steps) and then we decided to talk a quick ( not so quick) walk to the Jefferson Memorial to finish. I realized I walked over 10,000 steps by 10am...and was famished by the time we were done. These two. Just love love love them. They were game for anything and all Sarah asked for was a few twirling photos..which we did..and well..we might of gotten dizzy. All in all it was a great morning! Congratulations you guys!!
